How can I track my order?

Once your order is marked as dispatched/completed, we will send you a dispatch email containing a tracking number and a corresponding link.
You can click on this link to track the exact delivery time provided by the shipping service provider.

If you have an account with us, the tracking number and tracking link will also be available in the orders section of your account page, which you can find by clicking here.
If you do not receive the dispatch email or have any issues with tracking your order, please contact us here for assistance.


How long until you ship my order?

Estimated dispatch timeframes are displayed on individual product pages and/or communicated to you upon order confirmation by email.
Unless other arrangements are made, we will only ship your order once all items are in stock. Please note: Delivery delays may occur due to factors beyond TCC’s control that may cause these timeframes to be inaccurate. We will not ship your order until all products are available.


What’s the difference between “special order only” and “coming soon”?

Products labelled with “coming soon” are confirmed to be on their way from the mint or vendor, whereas, products labelled with “special order only” are specially ordered in for the customer once payment has been made.


How do you know when I have paid by bank transfer?

We have an automated system in place to match orders with payments received in our account. However, there may be occasions when the system doesn’t capture a payment. To prevent any delays and ensure smooth processing, we recommend that you send us a screenshot of your remittance to info@the-coin-chest.com.

Please include your order number only as the reference. This will help us manually reconcile any missed payments promptly.


I’m an international customer, how can I pay by bank transfer?

We strongly recommend using Wise for international transfers. It simplifies the process and helps significantly reduce fees on the sender’s side. Due to it’s popularity, we have our own dedicated Wise link for receiving international transfers. To ensure no unnecessary delays, please ensure to quote your order number or send us a message to let us know you’ve paid.

Who pays customs fees?

Customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer and are not covered by TCC. This includes VAT, GST, or duties imposed by your country. TCC does not take responsibility for any customs fees incurred.

Can I cancel my order?

Non-bullion orders can be canceled by the purchaser for a full refund if TCC is informed within 2 hours of purchase and the goods have not been sent or packaged for delivery. Specific conditions apply as detailed in our T&Cs.

What is TCC’s return policy?

Change of mind refunds/returns on non-bullion products are accepted if the purchaser notifies TCC within 14 calendar days from receipt of goods, the goods must sent back by a tracked and fully insured method, and must be received without damage or tampering. A 12.5% nonrefundable restocking fee applies, and the postage costs are forfeited.

Does TCC offer insurance for coin shipments?

Yes, TCC offers third party insurance for coin shipments. Purchasers of insured goods are entitled to reimbursement for loss or damage incurred during transit. We recommend opting for insured shipping to protect your investment.

What happens if my insured goods are lost or damaged in transit?

Purchasers of insured goods are entitled to reimbursement for loss or damage. Please contact us to initiate the process here.

Are the coins sold by The Coin Chest Certified or Authentic?

Yes, all coins sold by TCC come directly from the manufacturer or mint and include their corresponding Certificates of Authenticity (CoAs). If CoAs are not available for a given coin, TCC provides a lifetime guarantee of authenticity. For graded coins, the condition and certification are provided by Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS), ensuring the highest standards of verification and quality.

What should I do if my coins do not match the description or images on the website?

While TCC strives to provide accurate images and descriptions, variations may occur due to the minting process. If you receive a coin that does not match the description or images, please contact us immediately to discuss the issue and explore available solutions.

What information does TCC collect from customers?

TCC may collect personal information including but not limited to: your name, contact details, nationality, transaction history, payment information, IP addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. This is done to fulfill regulatory requirements and enhance our services.

How does TCC use the collected information?

The collected information is used to conduct due diligence checks, monitor transactions for suspicious activities, improve our products and services, and communicate with you regarding your transactions.

Who does TCC share my information with?

TCC may disclose your information to AUSTRAC for transactions triggering the 10,000AUD threshold or suspected of being associated with terrorist activities, to service providers under strict confidentiality agreements, and to entities involved in business transfers or mergers.

How does TCC protect my personal information?

TCC enforces robust security measures including encryption, access controls, and secure third-party storage techniques to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alterations, or disclosure.

How long does TCC retain my data?

TCC retains transaction records for seven years in accordance with AML/CTF regulations. This period may be extended as required by law.
