Bullion FAQs

What is classified as Bullion?

A product is considered a bullion product if it belongs to the ‘Bullion’ category. This rule applies to all products in our store, even if a product has other categories. To check, you can simply check the product page below the add to cart button.

Why do prices keep changing?

Bullion prices fluctuate constantly due to movements in the global precious metals market. Key factors include changes in the intrinsic metal price, commonly referred to as spot price (which is influenced by global supply and demand, geopolitical events, inflation, and currency values), as well as premiums, which can vary depending on product demand, mint production levels, and market conditions. At The Coin Chest, our prices are updated every 3 mintues to reflect these real-time changes, ensuring you always receive fair and accurate pricing.

How can I get free shipping on Bullion products?

You need to purchase a minimum of $350 worth of non-bullion products if your shipping address is in Australia, or $900 worth if your shipping address is overseas. This allows a piggybacking system, which ensures collectors can access bullion with no additional shipping costs!

Are there any fees with bullion?

If paying with bank transfer, no. If paying with credit/debit cards, Paypal, or Afterpay – we have to pass on the fee to the customer (as bullion is a very low margin product). This fee is a weighted average based upon each customer’s location.

Do you charge all line items this fee on an order?

No. If you are not paying with bank transfer, we will only charge the portion of your order which contains bullion the respective fee.

Do you have a maximum order limit?

Yes. Orders over $100,000 AUD will require manual price verification after being placed. You are still able to place the order on our website, but it will not be considered legally binding until a member of our team has confirmed the details with you directly. This helps us ensure accurate pricing, availability.
