In celebration of her majesty’s coronation!

More than a year after her accession in 1952, Queen Elizabeth II was crowned in Westminster Abbey. In 2013, The Royal Australian Mint commemorated the 60th anniversary of this occasion with a specially designed coloured $2 coin to be intended for circulation. The design features a stylised representation of St Edward’s Crown encompassed by circles inlaid with a royal purple pattern – synonymous with royalty.

Second lowest mintage $2 meant for circulation.

This gorgeous ms65 coronation $2 is the second lowest mintage Australian $2 coin meant for circulation. With likely more than 3/4 of the population already circulated, this coin stands proud in a very respectable grade band, with the potential for great outlook as an investment.

Key Features

  • Graded GEM Uncirculated by PCGS.
  • 2nd lowest mintage $2 intended for circulation (995,000).
  • Notoriously difficult coin to achieve a high grade.
  • Australian legal tender spanning 20.5mm in diameter.
  • Housed within an authentic PCGS holder measuring 82.2mm x 62.75mm x 10mm.
  • Quality-guaranteed PCGS slab.
